This reading lesson is going to focus on character traits.
Begin the lesson by watching this video.
Once the video is over, grab a piece of paper and write down your thoughts to these questions:
-What do you believe character traits are?
-What traits did you see from the characters in the video?
Once you have written down your responses, let's learn about character traits.
Before you start the video (Character Traits), be sure that you have printed off 3 T charts.
You will need to fill out one T chart for the Character Traits video, one during the video reading of "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything" and lastly , use the third during your own reading.
First, during the character traits video, fill out a T chart with the narrator,
labeling one side of the chart 'inside' and the other 'outside'.

Now it's time to put those skills you learned to the test. In this next video, "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything", fill out your 2nd T chart based on the Old Lady.
Nice work, 3rd grade!
For the last part, you get to choose a book that you like and read!
Pick a character from your book and base a T chart on them.
You need to include at least 3 traits of that character on both the 'inside' and 'outside' sides.
Be sure to include textual evidence that supports your claim on that character traits.
Once you have completed the last T chart, upload it here for grading.
